- Question: What real-time visitor information does Live trackerTM provide you with?
- Answer:
- >Track the visitors' navigation through every link.
- >Browser version and IP address - Hover over the link to obtain the geographic location.

Registration Process
- Question: Why do you need my email address?
- Answer: We need your email address for verfication purpose. Also, we want this service to be utililized well and therefore, as and when needed, we can communicate with you about enhanced features and any other questions.
- Question: I have still not got my verification email, what should i be doing?
- Answer: Please check your bulk email or junk email as some of the email service providers may treat our email as bulk in nature but it is not. Please add out email address to your contacts list, so that our email comes directly to your mailbox. If you have still not got it, please contact WEBMASTER [at] LIVE-TRACKER.COM and we will send you an email again.
- Question: I have clicked on the link in the email, i am still not able to login, why?
- Answer: Copy the link from your email and close all the existing browser windows. Open a new browser window and paste the link in the addressbar of the new window. If you are still not able to log in, write an email to WEBMASTER [at] LIVE-TRACKER.COM and we will get back to you.

Login Process
- Question: I forgot my password, what am i supposed to do?
- Answer: Please fill in the username on the right hand top corner of this page and click on "Forgot Password" and you will get an email from us reminding you of the password. Otherwise, write an email to WEBMASTER [at] LIVE-TRACKER.COM and we will get back to you with a password.
- Question: I forgot my username, what am i supposed to do?
- Answer: Try remembering the most used email address and most probably that should be it. Otherwise, you could create a new account and register the same sites all over again and start tracking.
- Question: I have started getting SPAM since i have submitted my email address, are you guys responsible?
- Answer: As stated in our Privacy Policy we do not share information with any third party and also we are dead against SPAMMING as we, ourselves suffer from it and would never do it.

Website Registration Process
- Question: I have logged in, what next?
- Answer: Go through the below steps for adding your website for tracking
- > Add a website or an IP address. They should begin with "http://" and end with "/".
- > Select the Site Type - ASP or JSP and click on ADD.
- > Download proxy file and save it to the website root folder and check if it is working properly.
- > Click on verify proxy link above and an alert box will inform whether the proxy has been installed properly. If you are not aware about the website root folder, please contact your system administrator or your technical team and they will help you with it.
- > Add the below script to the pages you want to track between the <HEAD> </HEAD> section
- > Change the HTML <BODY> tag as shown below in all the pages you want to track.
- > Click on the verify site link above and an alert box will tell you, if you have sucessfully installed the scripts on your site. Make sure you install the scripts on the "Default Page" the site you have given as verify link will check only on this page.
- Question: I have put the proxy file in the website root folder, "Verify Proxy" still says, it cannot be verified, what do i do now?
- Answer: Please contact your system administrator or the webmaster to know if the folder you have put the file is the website root folder. If they confirm that it is the root folder, please check the URL and if it still doesnot work, please send us an email at WEBMASTER [at] LIVE-TRACKER.COM and we will get back to you.
- Question: My proxy is getting detected but i am not able to verify my site?
- Answer: Make sure you have installed the scripts on the "Default Page" the site you have given as verify link will check only on this page. If this does not solve, please send us an email at WEBMASTER [at] LIVE-TRACKER.COM and we will get back to you.
- Question: I am not able to add a website to my account, why?
- Answer: At present, we are providing only five sites per account and therefore, if you have reached this limit, you would not be able to add one more site. Our suggestion would be to create one more account and start tracking through that account. If you have less then five sites and still teh website is not getting added, please check your URL as it should begin with "http://" and end with "/".
- Question: I am clicking on track now but it is not showing any traffic, why?
- Answer: At present, we are providing only five sites per account and therefore, if you have reached this limit, you would not be able to add one more site. Our suggestion would be to create one more account and start tracking through that account. If you have less then five sites and still teh website is not getting added, please check your URL as it should begin with "http://" and end with "/".
- Question: Can i change the website URL as many times as i want?
- Answer: Yes, you can. But do make sure that proxy and the scripts are at the right location for the website to be tracked.
- Question: Can Live Tracker track sub-domains?
- Answer: Yes, it can. But do make sure that the URL, proxy and the scripts are at the right location for the website to be tracked.
- Question: Can Live Tracker track IP addresses?
- Answer: Yes, it can. But do make sure that IP address, proxy and the scripts are at the right location for the website to be tracked.
- Question: Can Live Tracker track INTRANETs?
- Answer: Yes, it can. But the Intranet should be publically available for it to be tracked. Alternatively, you could download the Live Tracker™ open source by clicking here and customise it according to your needs.
- Question: I have deleted my website by mistake, what should i do now?
- Answer: Please go ahead and add it again and go through the same process gone through earlier and you can start tracking your website.
- Question: Does Live Tracker track ASP, PHP and JSP sites?
- Answer: Yes, it can. But do make sure that proxy downloaded is apporpriate to the site-type and the scripts are at the right location for the website to be tracked.

For example, if you have given the site as http://www.xyz.com/ you should check for http://www.xyz.com/ltrecordproxy.jsp or http://www.xyz.com/ltrecordproxy.asp based on the type of site you have selected. You should get the message - "Compilation Done. Live Tracker is Ready to rock!!!"

MyAdmin Process
- Question: I clicked on some page and i do not know how to get back to MyAdmin?
- Answer: If you are still logged in, you could go to MyAdmin page by clicking on "MyAdmin" at the top right hand corner of this page. If you are not logged in, you can login now and go to the MyAdmin Page.

Tracking Process
- Question: When i hover the mouse over the IP Address, it is not showing the geographic location? Why?
- Answer: This is because we use an internal database to come up with the geographical information. Instead, you can click on
and check the geographical information. - Question: When i click on the current page , it is giving page not found error?
- Answer: This could be because the URL you have added for tracking may not be forming the pages well.
- Question: When i click on Navigation and Info tabs, no information is getting displayed?
- Answer: Do make sure that you have selected one of the rows on the top half of the page before clicking on these tabs. It could also be that the moment you clicked on these tabs, the visitor would have left the site and the session got expired.
- Question: How fast the Live tracker data get refreshed?
- Answer: At present, the data gets refreshed every 15 secs.
- Question: I see some visitors details, eventhough, they are not navigating through pages for more than an hour?
- Answer: Live Tracker sometimes does not get data when the visitor closes the window or leaves the website and therefore, they get displayed. We have put a filter that will remove all such visitors after 2 hours of inactivity on the current page.
- Question: When i click on the row in the top half for viewing the navigation and visitor information i am being directed to other pages. Whats happening?
- Answer: In the top half section, there are two clickable items one is and the other is the row itself. If you by chance click on the then you will be taken to other relevant pages, so when you want to select the row, click on the rest of the row not near the

Technical Concerns
- Question: What is the technology on which Live Tracker has been made?
- Answer: We used JEE and AJAX technologies to build this tool.
- Question: I want to use the opensource tool and wish to custmize it, where can i find help?
- Answer: At present, we have releazed only the JAR files and the technical documentation is going on, so it should be released in the next few days. You could write an email to WEBMASTER [at] LIVE-TRACKER.COM and we will get back to you.
- Question: Why does the Live Tracker™ open source have less features?
- Answer: We have released the stable single site version now and plan to release the enhanced version in the next few months based on our software development and business priorities.
